These products have been developed through extensive research and market experience. Proton is constantly striving to produce products which are safer, more cost effective in use, are environmentally friendly and exhibit lower maintenance characteristics.
Since its inception the company has expanded its market penetration to the point where it has become a major supplier having formed long term associations with many global brand leaders and operates in the following market sectors.
The Food and Beverage Process Hygiene Division supplies an extensive range of process hygiene cleaning and disinfection products for the following industries – brewery, food, dairy, soft drinks, mineral water, distilling and wine. Technical service and support is key to the success of process hygiene at all levels. On site monitoring of hygiene regimes, in place cleaning systems coupled with advice and consultation provide customers with the perfect package covering all factors that impinge on their process hygiene needs.
The Food and Beverage Retail Division has made the Company a market leader through its exclusive supply of branded glass wash, glass renovation and beer dispense cleaning products to international and regional brewers and licensed retail operators. Keen to protect its brands Proton believe in trade marking its unique products, most recently this has been seen with its development of Quash, a pre-wash grease and lipstick removal product for glassware. A unique product, being the only one of its kind and commanding accepted world-wide patents.
The Fabric Care Division can now offer a unique proposition to the on premise laundry market with The Proton Group being one of the few companies capable of producing its own brand of liquid and powder laundry fabric care products. As well as covering all aspects of fabric care for today’s modern laundries, opportunities also arise to supply the company’s warewashing, kitchen care, washroom care and house care cleaning products to care homes, nursing homes, local authorities, prisons, hospitals, hotel, sports (particularly football clubs) and leisure facilities.
Furthermore, our progressive investment in new technology is evidenced by our development of water disinfection programmes and cleaning validation systems. Most recently our advances into agricultural hygiene have seen the supply of D.E.F.R.A. approved disinfectants reach a world-wide audience.
Proton operates its sales force on a regional basis to enable national coverage to be achieved at 'local' level. The external field based sales force is now supported by a head office based internal business development (IBD) team, who are given the task of generating sales leads and new appointments. We are therefore able to provide products and expertise to the food and beverage market that allow optimisation of resources thus enabling higher levels of technical back-up and services availability to all our customers.
An ISO 9000 (2000) accredited company, with production being carried out at our head office in Normanton, West Yorkshire. Extensive modern warehousing facilities enable all mainstream products to be manufactured to stock for ease of response, thus reducing lead times.
